“How does your garden grow? Mary the Gardener has designed and planted several gardens in my yard including a revision of a long parking strip. She included me in all the stages of design and I learned so much!  She uses native, drought tolerant plants. Mary has great attention to detail including colors of plants, when they will bloom, and good understanding of how the plants grow and fill in over several years.  I truly enjoy watching my garden grow – thanks to Mary and her crew!”

“Mary and her crews have taken care of our property nearly the entire ten plus years we have lived in Spokane. We learned of her business when we saw her working for a neighbor and were impressed with what she was doing with their garden/yard. We needed someone to help us out with our rather numerous garden beds, so requested that she take us on.

That was the best move we could have made for gardening on our property. First, Mary is very knowledgeable about gardening in Eastern Washington, knowing what plants and garden designs will work in this climate (we moved here from “the West side”). Second, she has a great sense of style for the kind of yards that are common in our area, like ours. She uses a wide variety of interesting plants and shrubs and takes care of the purchasing of plants as needed. We can’t even imagine what the yard would look like without her expertise! And we get endless compliments on it during the growing season.

Besides design and plant choice, Mary hires assistants to maintain our yard so that it looks impeccable during and after the growing season. This includes two very large pots adjacent to our patio that require separate designs and maintenance. Her staff are really great folks who are themselves quiet knowledgable about what they are doing. And they are a delight to have working around the property, explaining what they are doing and why. They also keep everything trimmed and neat throughout the season.

“Mary Henderson Greene started working with us about ten years ago to landscape and maintain our yard.  Our backyard is now  a shady peaceful English style garden and a small stone patio that we and the cats love.  The front yard went from an uninspired expanse of grass to a sculptured space with color and texture.  I love her work!”
